Mihi Whakatau

On Thursday Rooms 3 and 5 welcomed the Pakiki Kids and thePuanani kids to North East Valley Normal. Meihana spoke and we sang a waiata and Mr McKenzie spoke and we sang again. Then the people from the viisitors side spoke and sang and then the older people had a hongi . After the official part was finished we were able to buddy up with the children from the Pakiki class and show them all over the school and tell them where we were allowed to play and our school rules. It was fun.

New year and a new class

Our teachers are Mrs Evans-Weir and Mrs Hesson. In our room we have children who have travelled a long way to be with us, John-Paul is from the Phillipinnes, Grace is from America and Jazmin is from Malaysia. Unfortunately Jazmin is going back to Malaysia in March...we will miss her a lot.We are going to be writing our blog to keep you up to date with the things we have done and show you some of the great work that we have produced.
