The senior syndicate went to the Public Library to listen to Stig Wemyss who narrates books for some of our favourite authors. If you have a library card you can log in to the library website and download some of the audio e-books, or you can get the audio books at the library.
Stig was really interesting and funny. He was generous too and gave away copies of his audio books.
He rang his friend and author Andy Griffiths who suggested a story to read to us. He read it so well and made it so interesting that we all were quiet and enjoyed every moment.
We are using this blog to keep everyone up to date with what is happening in our room.

Whats been happening?
In maths we have been looking at symmetry, rotation and tessalations. Then we made different shapes out of uni lock blocks and talked about positional language. We then moved onto statistics and we have been learning about different ways to display information.

In our health study we have looked at keeping ourselves healthy. We have talked about washing, shampoo and teeth care.
We have also been sketching our bodies showing movement. Some of us were the models and then changed jobs and were the artists.

The Art Gallery
As part of our Kiwiana study we went to the Art Gallery. Mr Neumegen was great as usual and we have made some amazing pictures with lots of real NZ icons in them.
Edgar Centre
Our class was lucky to go to the Edgar Centre and try 6 different sports. We enjoyed the biking and all the others too. We were tired at the end of our time but thought it was a great day.
Bath Bombs
We made bath bombs for Market Day and they look fantastic. We had 3 colours and it is impossible to pick between them because they all look great.
After they set we made interesting packaging for them and then sold them.
