A Brand New Visitor

We were really lucky on Friday morning to have a visit from a one day old lamb. Tyler's mum brought him in to see us. His wool was really short and tight and Xander thought it felt like couscous!!! We all thought that would make a great name for him. He got a little tired being at school and had a wee sleep while Sue was holding him!!

Visitors to our school.

A drummer from the Congo visited our school to show us how to drum, sing and dance. He chose children to try as well as teaching us what to sing back to him. He also answered lots of questions about his homeland and what it was like over there.
Jan from St John's also visited us and talked about how to ring for an ambulance and how to avoid injuries. She even brought along her own mini ambulance.

Shapes around the school

We have been looking at 3D shapes and angles and we moved from inside the classroom to outside  around the playground. First we looked for right angles and then we found all sorts of shapes. Next we found shapes within shapes and it got exciting finding shapes everywhere.

Stars On Stage

The senior children are getting ready for the big production at the Regent Theatre . The theme is 'Circus Life' and each class is presenting some part of this . S 2 is being a carousel and also some children are in the skipping group. The horses for the carousel are looking really good.
