Marae Visit
On Thursday the whole school travelled by bus to Karitane for our marae visit. We arrived about 9.45 and were welcomed onto the marae.After the speeches and the hongi we shared kai and then were divided into groups to begin our activities .There were weaving groups, string games , story telling and inside the wharenui we were told all about the treasures that were kept there. After lunch there was time for a final activity and then we were back on the bus for the trip back to school .We had a great time and learned a lot and would like to thank Diana, Kane,Jesse, Amber and Heidi for teaching us and helping us.It was fun.
