Ros and Switch came to our school today to teach us a little about dog-safety. Knowing what to do when a dog growls at you is very important. Knowing where to pat a dog is also very important too. If a dog growls at you, stand as still as possible and do NOT make eye contact. Because if you do ,the dog will think you want to fight, and launch an attack. The best places to pat a dog are under the chin, behind the ear, on the back and a perfect rub on the belly. Remember, always ask the owner of a dog before patting a dog, because the dog might bite, if the dog's not trained well. If the owner says patting the dog would be okay, let the dog smell your hand before patting it.
