We have been looking at Matariki and how we celebrate the start of the Maori New Year. The Seven Sisters can be seen in our skies from mid June until April each year. These stars are part of a large constellation but we only see 7 or 8 really bright ones. If they are well spaced and clear a good year is expected. These same stars can be seen in other parts of the world. In Japan they are called Subaru! We made seven stars that we have hung in our room.
