Everyone arrived at school nice and early so we could head off to Warrington before 9 to make the most of the low tide. The weather was gorgeous and everyone was excited and looking forward to our day away. Once we arrived Alex spoke to us about the kiosk that he had carved and the different parts and what they meant. Then we got into our groups and headed down to the pools. We spotted lots of creatures but probably the most exciting find was an octopus!!! From the rock pools we went back to the buses and quickly had some morning tea before heading off to the estuary. Some of the creatures there were very good at hiding while others left obvious tracks. We headed back to have lunch and then we got changed and walked down to the beach again. This time we were swimming. The water was pretty cold but it was fun as well. There were some bogey boards to use and for those people who didn't want to swim there were Frisbees and games but mostly people made sandcastles when they had had enough time in the water. We went back to get changed and to wait for the bus. We were pretty quiet on the way back to school and arrived back just before the 3o'clock bell. A really big thank you to all our parent helpers who helped make the trip such a success.
